Binary licence

Updated 31 October 2026

The code is free

The InboxNext source code is distributed under the MIT licence. It can be read, modified, compiled and redistributed under the terms of that licence, which are in the repository.

This licence of use restricts nothing the MIT licence already allows over the code.

What is bought

The signed binary for Windows, with updates and email support.

The binary may be used on the computers the purchased edition covers, for an indefinite time, in the version installed.

What may not be done with the binary

Redistribute a modified signed version passing it off as the official one, or remove the licence notices from the distributed binary.

Use the signing keys, the certificates or the product name to distribute a build of your own.

Third parties

The binary includes third-party components with their own licences: Tauri, React, Rust and the Fraunces, Geist and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Those licences are respected and listed in the repository.
